about

Located in the heart of Brussels, HOPSTREET is an art gallery for contemporary visual art.

The avant garde reputation of the living area of Dansaert between La Bourse and the Canal and energy of the neighborhood convinced us to open our gallery there. Brussels is the next hot spot in contemporary art scene in Europe. Important foreign galleries moved to Brussels and there is still a lot of space, so more and more curators and artists also find their way to the capital of Europe. It’s central and easy to reach.

Brussels airport and the high-speed trains brings you in some hours around in Europe. HOPSTREET’s modern and bright space with high ceilings is 130 m², incl. storage and facilities.

mission statement

Being interested in a wide range of different art practices we are particularly drawn to artistic examinations of colour, form and light and the negotiation of aesthetical aspects of contemporary art leading to a special engagement with contemporary interpretations of modernist concepts, often directly linked to aspects of today’s life and society.

In order to be able to maintain close and personal relationships with the artists we represent we focus on artists living in Europe. We accompany and support them along their careers and their artistic journeys. Of particular importance is for us to provide them with the opportunity to develop their artistic strength by showing their work in gallery shows and well-prepared fair participations to a wide audience in whole Europe.
